Important information about Flitter Films - myself and Caley Powell have been working freelance for two years since leaving university and set up Flitter Films this April just gone (2011 for future peopel reference). The idea is to become financially secure working as independent producers having made commercials and worked ina variety of capacities on a vaiety of projects, as well as Caley's work in the form of Caley Powell Casting which takes up the bulk of her time.
We are trying to branch out into music videos and independent film but I don't need to tell all of you how difficult that is to crack. From a practical stand point we are situated just north of London and travel wherever the work is within the UK.
We are currently equipped with our own Avid editing suite and I work primarily as an editor on projects outside of Flitter Films, but within the next few week we are hoping to gain a variety of equipment including camera and sound this expanding our capabilities greatly as at the moment we obviously have to hire that equipment when we need it. As well as allowing us to branch out in terms of the business this will open up opportunities to create our own works more freely, and in the long run much more cheaply.
That pretty much covers us. There will be abig announcement I'm sure as well as dancing in the streets when we become fully equipped, but for now primarily I am an editor and Caley is a casting director but we are capable of so much more.
